Toy Swap

October 1–November 3: Donation drop-off at the Youth Services Desk
Friday, November 7 • 4–6:30 pm: Early access for donators
Saturday, November 8 • 10–11 am: Early access for donators
Saturday, November 8 • 11 am–3 pm: Open to the public

Donate gently used toys and find something “new” in time for the holidays. Receive one early-access ticket for each toy donated. Limit one toy per visitor when open to the public.

We will accept clean items in working condition with all parts and pieces. Ideally, toys like puzzles, crafts kits and board games would be in their original containers with instructions.

The following items will not be accepted:

Stuffed animals
Teething toys
Recalled items
Vintage toys
Homemade toys

Don't want to swap for anything and just want to donate? Thank you—we'll gladly accept your items.

Please bring all items to the Youth Services Desk. All donated items that are not taken during the swap will be donated to other organizations or disposed of.

SWAN Libraries + App

SWAN Libraries + app is free and available for iOS and Android devices. Download the app and enter your library card number and PIN (last 4 digits of your phone). Within seconds, you will be able to view the status of your checked out items and titles on hold in the Account section.

The Discover option displays images of New & Available Now books, eBooks, audiobooks, music and movies. With a few quick taps, you can easily place items on hold. With the Manage Categories button, you can expand your search to include:

Adults, Teens, Kids
En Español
Science Kits
Discovery Packs
Tech To Go

Do you have a specific title in mind? Just enter it in the search bar.

With the app, you won't ever need to bring your physical library card to the library. The Card feature lets you scan your barcode at the self-check station or the Member Services Desk. With the Linked Accounts option, you can add the library card numbers of other members of your household so you can check out items to their accounts.

If you need to quickly get a hold of the library or use our website, that's what the More feature is for!

If you have any questions about the SWAN Libraries + app, please visit or call our Adult Services Desk at 630/393-1171 x121.
